Welcome to the Anesthesia Library. The Library is available to all
faculty, residents, CRNA's and student nurse anesthetists who are specializing in or completing a rotation in Anesthesiology.
The Library is managed by Qianli Hu, B.A., M.A., and M.L.I.S. The Library's collection consists of books, journals, and audiovisual
materials relating to Anesthesia and Surgery. There are about 1,000 circulating, reference and reserve books, over 50 journals
in the Library. Journals are arranged in alphabetical order by title. The audiovisual collection consists of videocassettes,
audiocassettes and slides, a laser disc program on Transesophageal Echocardiography and several computer simulated programs
on case management in Anesthesia and Surgery. Members of the Anesthesia Department will find assistance in locating the following:
circulating, reference, and reserve materials; bibliographies, interlibraryloan materials, and indexes. The Library also provides
its users with literature searches and training using the Medline database. A net work connection to the Medical Research
Library allows Anesthesia staff to view their book collection. If the materials cannot be located in the Anesthesia Library,
the Medical Research Library located in the Health Science Education Building is given as a referral. The Anesthesia Library's
